Although not a particularly complicated pattern we were happy to spend quite a bit of time with the clients finalising the details, and deciding on the glass to be used.  Their new door was a little unconventional in design, and the fitting presented some small challenges!  Our clients were very taken with a detail in one of our restoration projects and we copied the style of the small centre circle, using red flashed glass, sandblasted to remove small areas of colour, and then traditionally painted with the rose design.

Stained Glass West Norwood

We removed both of these and fitted 4mm toughened glass as a safety measure.  One needed to be rebuilt as it had suffered some damage and had become loose.

Stained glass repairs and restoration – Norwood, SE25

All of these 3 panels were quite badly deteriorated – broken pieces and sagging.  We had sufficient old glass to fairly closely match almost all of the broken pieces - As you can see the side panel were fitted behind laminated glass, and the centre circle supported by 2 vertical rods, set into the frame and tied to the panel with wires.
