Stained glass repair, East London

leaded lights east londonstained glass east londonThis pair of quite simple panels, made mainly from low cost regular window glass (Arctic pastern), rather than the 'art glass' often used, had deteriorated such that they were very mobile in the door, plus they were generally undersized, and ill-fitting.  They were removed and the openings securely boarded over, taken apart and the glass washed, then rebuilt with all new lead, and with new glass cut to made them a little longer where they were previously too short for the openings.  We thought the pattern was attractive, showing what can be done with minimal colour.  We turned the job around in 2 weeks.
